Chaos

To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours.
~Virginia, The Hours~

There is no actual reason i start this post with the quote above.
Well, i loved the movie a lot, Nicole Kidman played her role as Virginia Woolf magnificent. But this is about the words. These beautiful words, that i am so fascinated by, although i am not completely sure why.

(Hedi)

There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.
~Mother Theresa~

(.)

I guess there is.
Sometimes you ask yourself where to find it.
I mean the real kind.
But than the question: what is real love?
Can real love ever end?
And if it ends, was it ever real?
And...can unreal love feels like the real stuff?

(.)

When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream. ”
~Paulo Coehlo The Alchemist~

(.)

Is this really true?
How do you know if you really want something enough?
And is everything you really want, also meant (to be) for you?

The line between sadness, loneliness and happiness is very thin, sometimes nearly recognisable.

As a woman I have no country. As a woman my country is the whole world.
~Virginia Woolf~

I was in a queer mood, thinking myself very old: but now I am a woman again - as I always am when I write.
~Virginia Woolf~

Language is wine upon the lips.
~Virginia Woolf~

Why are women... so much more interesting to men than men are to women?
~Virginia Woolf~

I am so wondering whether this is true or not.
What do you think?

I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains.
~Anne Frank~

Sorry for this post full of chaos.
My head is chaotic lately, so i can't do no else than bring that chaos onto this blog.

(Almost all photographs from here, here and here.

oh mila,

this is as beautiful as all your posts are...dont ever doubt how amazing you are at discovering all things desirable and presenting them~ the images you choose alone are perfect~ and then you put on words that make people melt, you are an uber blogger~ i respect and look up to you~
the quote from the alchemist brings so many thoughts~ i love thinking that is you wish on something enough you can have or achieve anything~ but the last question there is so true~ are all things we want meant for us? they cant be can they, because there are people out there who want things that are basic needs and dont get those...
thank-you for always making me think, and feel, and be inspired mila~ dont ever stop...

That's really strange, I just saw The Hours yesterday, for the first time even... It really affected me. Maybe because of my mood, but anyways. What a coincidence.

That quote about women being interesting to men... I agree I think. I certainly have obsessed over certain men hehe... but not men as a whole. I walk past them and talk to them all the time but am not always thinking about what's under their clothes. But then I couldn't say how men feel about women either. Oh dear, I'm very confused now!

I love this. It's really how I am feeling right now- with chaotic emotions and lots and lots of questions. I think that there is no real way to know the answer to anything, only love for everything.

I hope you are well my love!

mila, chaos never looked so pretty!
i think we all get confused about life and love at different times in our lives.
we either figure it all out or we just learn to not know the answers and be okay with it.

hope you have a lovely day.

love,sb

Don't apologise, chaos is good sometimes, especially when it involves Virginia Woolf :)

I'm not sure we are more interesting; we are just more talked about, analysed, discussed. I find men more interesting and I suspect this is primarily due to the fact that I'm attracted to them :)

Beautiful post, as always ...

Thanks for sharing these beautiful beautiful words.
I love Virginia Woolf.
"Why are women... so much more interesting to men than men are to women?
I think this is true, and I think it can be explained in many different ways, scientific, psychological, poetic, artistic etc. but I assume none of these can give a perfect answer.

Yes it is true.

Women are more interesting than men.

Women are more complex. Women have world inside them we can never really truly understand.

I believe, most of the time, we do not truly understand ourselves.
