Ah, Mila, you cannot imagine how much simple joy this post has just injected into an otherwise tedious and dark and desperate day. My grandmother, who is the hub of our family, is passing, and rather than make that passage joyous and beautiful, as she wishes, the rest of my family has chosen to dwell in misery and confusion, cancelling holidays and refusing to spend time together. So, no Thanksgiving, and now its Black Friday, and everyone is running around trying to score the best deals on the latest whatsit, and there are terrible accidents, and it is all so stupid and selfish, and I was getting to be very very grinchy indeed...when I clicked on your blog and *bam!* such color and line and life and joy! Thank you. So much. Do you know how often your thoughtful, elegant posts rescue me from the doldrums? I think you are an angel.
pattern pattern pattern! i can't take it, this set is just too amazing. my favorite is the collage of images around the radiator. when i moved into my new apartment i was puzzled as what to do design wise with them and now i have such ideas!
