Livingroom dreams

I really don't know where to begin.
I get all excited when doing posts like these, because i love decorating so much, but also looking at other people's decorations makes me oh so happy.
( I guess my mother is to blame, because she's been decorating and looking for beautiful things for her home for all my life. I am so lucky with a mom like her (not for this reason in particular, mom) but she buys the greatest decoration magazines and gives them to me after reading them and i regularly get beautiful things from her for my place.)
Mom, if you read this: thank you so much for being that big of an inspiration for me when it comes to decorating and beautiful things in general.

To be honest, the apartment of the French designer Vanessa Bruno, is absolutely one of the most gorgeous ones i've ever seen.
It's just right, the colours, the different styles she seems to combine effortlessly...

Lately i am truly in love with beautiful wallpapers like this one.
Give me birds, trees, leaves and more birds, please!
You should definitely take a look at Louise Body's wallpapers if you also like birds, leaves and the old looking stuff.

Two of my favourites from the collection of Louise Body

When you have to make a little working space into your livingroom, make sure it really looks like a part of the room. If it's possible, don't show off a big computer, there's probably nothing more disturbing than that.
Make it an inspiring corner in your livingroom...

All sorts of found and thrifted things can really create such a nice and cozy atmosphere.
As you all know by now, i love to spend my day looking for cheap, old things with lots of character to decorate my place.

Adding some colour is never a wrong thing to do, although different shades of white stay my all-time favourite.
This vintage chair looks amazing with the coloured fabric. It really steals the show and combines beautifully with (vintage) wooden furniture.
I think pastels and bright colours can both be beautiful, when done right.
I prefer whites and pastels, with a little sparkle of bright colours here and there.

The couch itself is not really special, but the different, sweet cushions on it makes it a really great item in your livingroom.
You should defenitely check out Etsy for all sorts of great handmade cushioncovers (and other things, of course!)
Handmade and original things make your place really personal...

Don't ever forget about flowers....oh how hey can make a room from empty and a little cold, into a lovely and cozy place.

Go for whites, in every single way....

Rooms i simply fell in love with....

After the bathroom and bedroom dreams, i wanted this post to be the most beautiful.
Unfortunately it became quite a mess and a bit chaotic.
I think i've saved just too many beautiful pictures and i am very bad at making choices.
However, i hope you like this post as much as the other ones.
I'd love to know what you think about decorating your livingroom, about the rooms showed here and it would be great if you'd tell me which one of the rooms and pictures here is your absolute favourite!

These images are so beautiful - I was looking through them while having my morning coffee. What a great start to the day!

I love all of them, but I have a fascination with other people's working spaces, so I really liked the images of the desks and inspiration boards. :)

I have no house of my own to decorate, however I have a folder on my computer's desktop called "room!" with pretty much every single decorating photo that you have ever posted on your blog. I love your taste oh so much! You can decorate my house (when I have one) anytime!!

And thank you for the sweet sweet comment. It made me smile!

You've done it again Mila, gorgeous post! I'm in love with that first birdie wallpaper, of course I love all the thrifty corners ;), the doily bowls are beautiful, and the last shot is especially inspirational to me since I have a big brown L-shaped sectional sofa in my living room that I now want to cover in lovely mismatched pillows! Thanks for the inspiration!

Such beautiful things, thank you for sharing them with us. I love bright colour so my favourite images were of the collection of red tins and boxes, and the turquoise room with the chinese lanterns. They were most like the kind of things I would have in my house!

this post is so beautiful. I can't decide which one of the rooms that are my favourite. I want to take a little from them all I guess. I really like the picture with the old radio and books/magazines. and the one with the pink flowers next to some beautiful frames. but the very first picture is the one my heart beats for. I love all the sewingbows (couldn't find the right word so I translated straight from swedish)on the wall. this post is really inspiring!

MILA BABY! You know my 'love' for you is more like "LOVE!!!!! (x 9 million). I could never question it! You're amazing. I wish I could pick up the same kind of eye for room design and detail. When we grow up and become multi-millionaires, can you help me put together my flat in NY?! ;)

Have a wonderful day, sweet pea!! xo

I think you might be my long lost sister! My mum has instilled the same aesthetic with her decorating! I love every photo but the one with the empty window/picture frames hanging on the wall is my favorite! I was just thinking about doing that to one of my walls in my bedroom! It's nice to see it executed! Thank you for always sharing such lovely images with us!

Superleuke post weer!

I absolutely adore that. I love the flowers and feel exactly the same way. I think that they really do make the home.
I am so sending this to my boyfriend who I am going to move in with. Don't know whether to stay in the dainty yet neutral white or bombard him with colour.

I don't even know where to begin commenting on this post! I recently moved into a new apartment and I wanted to tear my hair out decorating a space that I would only live in for 2 years. But like you I pick up knick knacks along the way, so I absolutely loved your post.

The last room you posted looks so cozy to me, a place where I would literally love to just sit and relax and watch tv or read. And I adore that blue toile wallpaper. I wish I could wallpaper my house!
