Taggy LOVE & LOVE

I was tagged by the very sweet Michiko of the great blog Things of Beauty.
Thank you so much dear, i always feel very honoured when i get tagged.

The rules of the '7 things tag' are:

- You have to link to the person who tagged you
- You have to write 7 things about yourself (both weird and normal stuff)
- You have to tag 7 people and link to them in the end of the post and you have to leave a comment on their blog.

So, here we go.

1. I LOVE riding my bike very fast. I always pass everyone else...

(.)

2. I am so in love with the paper cranes i made together with a friend. I am now planning to make a beautiful line of them to hang somewhere in my home.

(.)

(.)

(.)(.)

3. An other favourite thing of mine is searching Ebay for the most beautiful and old tins. I love the coloured and flowered ones.

4. I am looking forward to this next semester at University, i'll be doing a Minor in Arts.

(.)

(.)

5. I care less and less about fashion and the way i look. I don't really know whether this is a good thing or not. I still LOVE fashion though...

(An older polaroid 600 of mine)

6. I am currently reading the Bible, for the first time in my life.

(.)

7. I feel like i have a million things to do, but i don't really know what those things are. I feel very sleepy lately, so i sleep a lot.

(.)(.)

The darlings i tag are: Jimena from A scenic world, Lucie from Bout de Lu, Electric Feel, Lennebelle, Sophie Jade from Sweet dreams till sunbeams find me, Jess from Wild Keiki and Sara from Thursday Afternoons.

I also got this award from the lovely Spider, spin me a story.
Thank you dear, i feel truly honoured!

I want to give this award to the gorgeous Angela from Rags and Scribbles.

This quote made me think. A lot.
What do you think? Is there any truth in it or is it just a way of not getting hurt?

A wise girl kisses but doesn’t love, listens but doesn’t believe and leaves before she is left.
(.)

I am seriously in LOVE, with these amazing polaroids.
From this Flickr photographer.

I don't know if you've ever heard of the label Doshi Levien?
They make such beautiful things for your home. Their work is always a mix between different cultures and east and west.

Recognisable, but just a liiiiitle tiny bit...

(.)

Oh, and take a look at this. It's beautiful.
Maybe you want to leave an (anonymous) message too?
I did.

I also LOVE these artworks by this Etsy seller...

Yet another thing of beauty.

More beautiful art.
Isn't the world full beauty?

I guess this is it for today.

I wish you all a wonderful week full of joy, love, fun and kisses.

Such a big post! I don't know what to comment on first!
My mum used to collect old tins, we have one of those Blue Jay ones!
Also I love that blue couch from Doshi Levien... I want it...
that quote about the wise girl is so sad, that is no way to live! I'd think of it as a 'what not to do'

Wow!
Thank you for all the links. you seem to be able to find the prettiest things.
I, too, like origami, although I am not really good at it...yet.
I'm best at making cicadas...

heheee, I cycle real slow and always get overtaken :)

that quote makes my stomach hurt. I think it should read "a girl who doesn't want to experience the ups and downs of life will not experience love, will become self-obsessed and will ultimately end up on the shelf". seriously. life is to be lived fully and not half-heartedly; if you're too scared to fall you'll never fly!

Hehe, i knew there would be a lot of reactions on the quote.
Don't get me wrong dearies, it's not the way i think about life, i just find it an interesting quote to think about, but it's not the way i would want to live my life.
:)

I adored this post. It's so cool to learn more about you thanks to the tag. The little paper cranes are magical, I hope you'll tell us more about this passion some time.

oooooh, this post was pretty sweet. I wish I could ride my bike fast! lol! I am very slow.

anyways, i loved all the beautiful little pictures you put in your blog. They are so dreamy and inspiring.

I think it's cool that you are reading the bible for the first time! it may becoming kind of overwhelming so I suggest taking many breaks and thinking about what you read.

what a huge post, mila!
i have mixed feelings about the quote.
a part of me thinks it's kind of true and another part of me thinks that it's just to protect yourself from getting hurt.
i think when it really comes down to it..
i wouldn't want to be following the quote. there's no happiness in it.
i am still kind of hoping that great love or a fairy tale love still exists =)

anyways, that's a long comment for your long post! i hope you have a great week, mila.

Overwhelming amounts of gorgeousness here Mila!

I really need to learn how to make paper cranes. The other day I took a couple of long leafless curly willow branches that Lucas had pruned from our tree and put them in the corner of our bedroom. They are so tall they reach the ceiling and look like we have a leafless tree in our room, it's really cool, and I put some paper lantern lights around it so it looks even cooler when it's dark and the lights are lit. I was kind of inspired by this. Anyway, my point was that I was thinking it would be really beautiful to hang paper cranes from the branches :)

P.S. Thanks for your super sweet comment and lots of love to you too <3

is it bad that i actually agree with that saying???and i guess, this saying would only come from someone who has been hurt deeply, and playing it smart in present :) aaaw mila, i love this post, paper cranes...i used to have an obsession with them, cutest thing!!!and old tins are lovely :) you have yourself a blissful week!!!

Nice to know more about you Mila!
I so agree with 1 and 5. And congrats on 4, sounds exciting!!

The quote, there's a truth in it, I think. But also there's a feeling of wanting to escape from getting hurt...either way it is very human and true, and I'm like that a lot of time myself :)

Eugh, that quote is a little naive, I think.

On the other hand, it is very cynical and what we are, I guess, meant to believe being an adult is. I would rather call the things the quote encourages clever rather than wise.

Of course, the world we live in has been built in a way that makes us act that way -- if we became as the quote suggests, we would get along better in this world.

But I think the defining question in, well, all life, no matter how dramatic it sounds, is whether we want to become as the world is... Is it human to be cold and unfeeling?

I have decided to think we as human beings are feeling things.

The only thing I may agree with in the quote is that we should not believe what we hear. I think we should all build our own truths.

I started to like those paper birds seeing them now. Do you know if there are instructions about how to make them anywhere in the internet? I would love to try and make some myself... They remind me of Japanese things, which is something I am quite fond of... I guess you knew that, hihi... :) I would appreciate it if you could help me make my own. That's what I meant. :)

PS. What is the music that plays on your blog? The first and second songs, at least?

hi mila -

this is such a fantastic post, I don't even know where to begin!!
First of all, thank you for tagging me, I'm very excited about this. I'll take some time to do it properly.

I love that you love paper cranes and riding your bike very fast, since those are two of the things I love the most as well. i've been doing a lot of origami lately...... and, well... I always ride my bike everywhere. In a city like Lima you have to be fast, otherwise the crazy buses might kill you before you know it.

That first photo from grandylion is... well.... I don't know what to say but wow.

thank you for tagging me, I'll let you know when the post is done.

Have a wonderful week darling, thank you (as usual) for sharing all these beautiful images. I truly love your blog.

i think the quote about a "wise girl" has some truth in it--in that protecting and taking care of yourself are wise things to do when it comes to matters of love and honesty.

that being said, if loving cautiously is wise, then i am not wise at all!

Beautiful, Mila. There really isn't much more to say to express how I feel about this post. Except that you must look very cute on your bicycle :)
